Matrosova's inspiration for this collection came from the challenge of creating complex and attractive images from simple shapes and colors. The task was not easy, as minimalism often proves more difficult to achieve than detailed imagery. However, Matrosova's passion for graphics and her unique style of shooting led to the creation of this remarkable collection.
Each photograph in the collection is a study in graphics - spots, lines, shapes, shadows, and lights. These elements, though simple in their individuality, come together to form images that are seemingly simple but inherently complex. The collection showcases pictures composed from basic forms like rounds, squares, and triangles, and uses color to express and reveal mood and emotions.
The realization of this collection involved the use of Canon 5D mark iii, Canon 24-70mm f2.8, flash lights, and Photoshop correction. The photo session was held in one day, requiring meticulous planning for the transformation of one makeup look into another without losing quality or wasting time. The process also involved a month of preparing sketches of storyboards and images, selecting costumes and objects.
Matrosova faced several challenges in creating these photographs, including time constraints and the complexity of implementation and transformation. A method of rapid transformation of the forms and image of the model without loss of quality and time was invented. The post-processing of the pictures was another challenge, as Matrosova wanted to make them absolutely clean, attractive, and appealing for the viewer.
Despite the challenges, Matrosova's "Accents and Form" collection stands as a testament to her creativity and technical prowess. The collection not only won the Golden A' Photography and Photo Manipulation Design Award in 2019 but also serves as a reminder of the infinite possibilities that lie in the realm of art decor photography.
